Two sales today! “A Passion for Art” to Interzone, and “Nucleon” (reprint) to Retro Spec: Tales of Fantasy and Nostalgia! Also, I learned that Esther Friesner’s “untitled suburban vampire anthology” will be titled Fangs for the Mammaries.
In his year-end summmary of Realms of Fantasy, Rich Horton calls my “Joy is the Serious Business of Heaven” one of the best short stories in the magazine this year.

I sold short story “Pupa” to Analog! I also sold audio rights to “Wind from a Dying Star,” my first professional sale, to Escape Pod.
I sold short story “horrorhouse” to DayBreak Magazine, a new online magazine dedicated to near-future, optimistic SF. It will appear on October 31. I also received payment for my Wild Cards story, though there may be one more round of editorial comments.
I got my program schedule for Foolscap. I’ll be auctioneering and appearing on a bunch of programming.
My Google slaves have discovered a surprisingly thorough bio of me in Russian (Google translation). This led me to the discovery that the Dozois Year’s Best SF 24, including my story “I Hold My Father’s Paws,” was translated into Russian in 2008.
